School Readiness is a full-day, full-year National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accredited childcare program serving Bridgeport resident children and children whose parents work in Bridgeport between the ages of 3 and 5 years.
Our program philosophy centers on these beliefs: >> Development and learning are interconnected in the preschool years. >> Each child is a unique learner with his/her own cultural identity, learning style, temperament, and developmental pattern, and each of these factors influence how each child learns and grow. >> Each child's family is an important partner in the daily care and education of their children. Staff members strive to know each child as an individual and to work in partnership with the family to know, understand and plan appropriate learning experiences for each child in their care. >> A warm, caring relationship between teachers and children is the foundation for creating a nurturing classroom community where children respect, care for and learn from one another.
Our hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., 50 weeks per year. Students are required to attend the program for a minimum of six hours per day.
We have a waiting list for admission. If you are a Bridgeport resident or you work in Bridgeport and would like to add your child to our waiting list, please email email@example.com with your child's name, birthdate, parent/guardian name and contact telephone number.
