RCA students to perform jazz concerts
Music fans are invited to attend live jazz concerts at RCA on May 4 and 5. Students who come to the Trumbull school from all around the region will perform and tickets are $5 at the door.
RCA camp a taste of the arts
Thirty young students from multiple towns in the region experienced the arts up close in July at the first Taste of RCA summer camp hosted at the Regional Center for the Arts high school. 
Eric Nyquist
Eric Nyquist has been appointed the next principal at the Regional Center for the Arts, a part-time arts magnet high school in Trumbull that is operated by CES. He is replacing Dr. Mark Ribbens, who retires at the end of June.
CES expands reach with Bethel purchase
CES is joining with EdAdvance, the RESC for Litchfield County, to purchase a Bethel building so that the agencies can expand their offerings of innovative learning.

RCA, the arts high school operated by CES, will host its first summer program for middle school students this year. A Taste of RCA will be held weekdays in July.
RCA students reach regionals of competition
Five students from the C.E.S. high school Regional Center for the Arts qualified for the regional competition of the annual August Wilson Monologue Competition in New Haven
Coast Guard jazz band to play at RCA
The U.S. Coast Guard Dixieland Jazz Band will be in concert at RCA on March 8 at 3 p.m. The band has played its New Orleans-flavored music at concerts and festivals across the U.S. and around the world. The opening act will be the RCA Jazz Combo

For the first time, the Regional Center for the Arts high school will be offering prospective students an opportunity to earn early acceptance to the school for the 2020-21 school year.
