Open houses are held for students interested in attending RCA the following school year. For the 2020-21 school year, those Open Houses will be Thursday, Nov. 14, and Thursday, Feb. 6, from 7-8:30 pm.  Visitors can meet current RCA students and staff, and tour the building. You may also schedule appointments to meet with the principal and discuss RCA as an option for your student. We encourage families of prospective students to attend our performances. (Click for the calendar page).
Admission Process
As part of the admission process we ask students to participate in a placement audition for us to better understand her or his experience as a performer.  We will conduct Early Decision Auditions on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020, from 10 a.m. to to noon, with a snow date of Jan. 25.  Students who participate in Early Decision Auditions will know of their RCA enrollment status at the end of January.  Regular Placement Auditions will take place 10 a.m. to noon on March 14 and March 21 with a snow date of March 28. Prospective students should plan to attend auditions on one of those Saturdays.  Students who complete the Regular Audition process will be informed of their acceptance by letter in May.
Enrollment Caps
A school district may cap its student enrollment at RCA. If our enrollment from a district exceeds the cap, we conduct a lottery of prospective students, and those who are not offered a seat will be placed on a waiting list.
