Thank you to all who applied for the 2023-2024 school year.  We received over 200 applications.  Auditions are completed.  However, if you have decided after March 17 that you would like to attend RCA, we encourage you to fill out an application.  We will be happy to add you to the WAIT LIST for spots.  If something comes up, we will notify you and bring you in for an audition at that time.  We encourage you to make us aware of your application by emailing hannonj@cestrumbull.org.  Please let us know if you have any questions.

Open houses are held in the fall and winter for students interested in attending RCA the following school year. The fall info session and tour will take place at RCA on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. Our winter info session and tour will take place on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 6 p.m. The winter session will be a scaled-down version so we encourage you to attend on Nov. 3 if possible. Visitors can meet current RCA students and staff, and tour the building. We encourage families of prospective students to attend our performances.

Admission Process
As part of the admission process we ask students to participate in a placement audition for us to better understand her or his experience as a performer. It also gives us the chance to gauge the passion students have for the performing arts. Placement Auditions are on Saturdays in March. Students will be informed of their acceptance by letter by May.

Enrollment Caps
Some districts and departments may need to cap their enrollment at RCA. If our enrollment from a district or in a particular department exceeds the cap, we conduct a lottery of prospective students, and those who are not offered a seat will be placed on a waiting list.
