Students get to touch a truck, pet K-9 officers
A wide variety of police and emergency vehicles visited Six to Six on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021, so students could get a close look inside the vehicles, learn how they are used, and meet two dog officers.
Officers brought several cruisers, an armored vehicle called a BearCat, and a mobile command center for the students, in preschool through second grade, to explore. A vehicle used by the Bridgeport Health Department was also parked in the front lot for children to see.
The stars of the visit were K-9 officers Atlas and Justice that the students were allowed to pet after learning how they assist police fighting crime.
