Kalyani Nagarajan workshop 021920
Actress from New Zealand works with RCA theatre students
Great partnerships with agencies and organizations like the Quick Center for the Arts at Fairfield University provide amazing opportunities for students in the C.E.S. school programs. Artists who are scheduled to perform at the university often visit our Regional Center for the Arts high school for master classes and workshops, exposing the students to the skills and lives of performing artists.
Actress Kalyani Nagarajan was with theater students for a workshop February 19, 2020. She led the students through some games that taught them about stage presence and how to move in the midst of a performance.
Kalyani, who is with the Indian Ink Theatre Company of New Zealand, is performing in “Mrs. Krishnan’s Party” at the Quick Center on February 20-22, 2020. The show is part of a theatre series that has been running for more than 20 years around the world. It is described as “immersive theatre” with music, dancing and vegetarian dal prepared live during each show.
