Panelists share experiences at Minority Teacher Recruitment meeting

The Professional Development Services department hosted a Minority Teacher Recruitment meeting May 21, 2019, with administrators and HR personnel from school districts in our region. In addition to a panel of minority educators who spoke about their experiences, the meeting was attended by George Coleman, the former state Department of Education commissioner who is now a C.E.S. consultant; Kim Wachtelhausen of the DOE Talent Office; and Esther Bobowick, director of the PDS department at C.E.S. The goal of the program is to help school districts build quality plans for recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce.
