C.E.S. SCHOOL READINESS PRESCHOOL is a comprehensive, high-quality, NAEYC-accredited full day, full-year early childhood program serving students 3-5 years old whose parents reside or work in Bridgeport. We strive to know each child as an individual and to work in partnership with the family to know, understand, and plan appropriate learning experiences for each child in our care. Our program provides a safe, happy, fun, and nurturing environment for your child's growth and development.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe development and learning are interconnected in the preschool years. Each child is a unique learner with his/her own cultural identity, learning style, temperament, and developmental pattern, and each of these factors influences how each child learns and grow.

HOURS & TUITION
Our program runs from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., 49 weeks per year. Students are required to attend a minimum of six hours per day. Tuition is based on a sliding-fee scale.  We use the State Department of Education full-time preschool service fee to determine weekly tuition fees. All families who are eligible are encouraged to apply for Care 4 kids. Fees are paid online through the Brightwheel Application.

ENROLLMENT & ADMISSIONS
In order to enroll your child in the CES School Readiness preschool program you must either reside or work in the city of Bridgeport. Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis.  After submitting your child's information in our Pre-Enrollment Waiting List form, your child will be added to our waiting list. Failure to disclose all required information will result in your child being placed back on the waiting list.

CLASS SIZE & STAFF
Our staff of professionals are trained and highly experienced in Early Childhood Development. Staff members regularly attend classes, workshops and training courses. All staff members maintain current Pediatric First Aid and Infant/Child CPR certification. All staff are certified to administer medications. Each classroom is equipped with one head teacher and two assistant teachers. We make every effort to balance each classroom by race and gender. There are 18 students in each classroom.  The staff’s role is to offer a balance of child-initiated and teacher-initiated activities to maximize children’s learning.
