Developmental Learning Center

The Developmental Learning Center (DLC) is a regional program for children ages 11-21 who fall within the Autism Spectrum Disorder continuum, or with severe language impairment. DLC offers intensive positive behavioral support in a highly structured environment.

 

Preschool-Primary Learning Center 

The Preschool - Primary Learning Center (PLC) is a regional program for children ages 3-12 who fall within the Autism Spectrum Disorder continuum, or with severe communication impairment. PLC enrolls students with a wide range of difficulties in the areas of emotional, behavioral, social, communication and academic functioning. Student abilities range from 12 months to second grade academics. Their communication skills range from non-verbal and using picture exchange and voice output devices to conversational skills.

 

Reaching Independece through Supported Education (RISE) Transition Program

The Reaching Independence through Supported Education (RISE) program is a collaboration among C.E.S. member districts and Sacred Heart University. Students with developmental disabilities who have completed four years of high school, and are within two years of exiting (between ages 19-21) are eligible.
