What is the Recruitment Fair?

Fairfield County Connecticut school districts extend an invitation to prospective candidates interested in teaching in a "lighthouse school district", located on the "gold coast" of Connecticut. Officials from each of these progressive school systems will be available to meet with various candidates to:

  • Provide information
  • Answer questions
  • Conduct interviews

It is very important for each candidate to thoroughly review the materials you receive before attending the fair. Registration packets will be provided to each candidate at the morning information session. In the packet will be information from each participating district that will explain its system and potential staffing needs. Also, carefully read the posted available assignments in the gymnasium to plan your approach the to fair and make the experience more successful for your needs.

Understand that in the five months between the fair and the start of the 2013-14 school year there may be retirements, unexpected resignations or requests for leaves of absence as well as unexpected enrollment changes which will adjust the district needs. It is important for you to continually monitor individual district needs as they update their respective web sites.

Each of the participating districts is looking for the very best prospective candidates.
