Academy for Teacher Leadership
The Academy for Teacher Leadership at C.E.S. provides a professional learning opportunity for exemplary teachers who already display the potential to become teacher leaders. This is an opportunity for administrators to recognize, reward and develop their district's finest teachers by selecting them to be part of the Academy for Teacher Leadership at C.E.S.
This group of teacher leaders will develop essential leadership competencies — consensus building, resolving conflicts, working with generationally diverse staff, coaching, data analysis, facilitation and presentation skills, and more — while continuing to do what they love most: teach children.
When they complete the Academy for Teacher Leadership at C.E.S. program, they will be able to assist their building administrators with implementing key school initiatives. The school's investment explicitly benefits both the teacher leader and the school. This program is partially supported financially by the Leadership Institute at C.E.S.
All sessions are held 8:30 a.m. -2:30 p.m., and include continental breakfast and lunch.
Sessions for the 2016-17 school year are complete. A schedule for next school year should be available here by early summer.
